Format:

Competitions typically consist of group-stage or round-robin play, followed by finals or placement matches.

Events are hosted in person at school venues or designated esports arenas.
Schedule:
ISEC events are held multiple times a year, corresponding to seasonal “meets”:

Fall Esports Season – August to October

Winter Esports Season – November to February

Spring Esports Season – March to May
Platforms:
Games and their platforms are pre-agreed by the schools in each division. Typically, they are played on mobile devices, PCs, and consoles.
ISEC competitions emphasise player safety and positive behaviour. Participants are expected to:

Demonstrate sportsmanship and respectful conduct toward all players, staff, and officials.

Follow school and event rules regarding appropriate interaction, language, and gameplay etiquette.

Respect age-appropriate game ratings and parental consent protocols where applicable (especially for younger players).

Abide by any additional school-specific code of conduct or safeguarding policies instituted by hosts.
Technical Requirements:
To participate in ISEC Esports League events, players generally need:

A stable internet connection if online play is required.

A compatible gaming platform appropriate for each title (PC, console, mobile).

The latest version of the game client installed with required account access.

For in-person meets, equipment is often provided by the host but participants are encouraged to bring headsets or peripherals for comfort. (Check specific event briefs for details.)
FAQ
Safeguarding and Technical Requirements
ISEC League participating schools must each adhere to the safeguarding standards of their own school, as well as the host school or location where applicable for tournaments. Should a class or team not be associated with any school, all participants and faculty must adhere to the safeguarding standards of the most recent tournament host school.
